Johnny Lynn Brice was born on August 2, 1946 in Southmayd, Texas to John Otis and Evelyn Jackson Brice. He went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 21, 2020. He was loved by his family, which includes his wife of 33 years Jeannie, their children Tami Chesshire and husband Ricky, Ray Holman and wife Connie, Shane Holman and wife Hope and daughter Gabi Brice, along with 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, sister Mary Lubbers and husband Bill, Brother-in-law Johnny Landrum, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, brother Tommy Brice, brother Cecil Brice Sr., and sister Dottie Brice.
Johnny retired from Yellow Freight Lines in 1996 and was currently employed with Benny Boyd of Andrews. He was a former U.S. Navy Veteran. He was a dedicated member of the Andrews Mesquite Burners along with the Andrews Masonic Lodge. Johnny never met a stranger or ever considered any one person of greater value than another, and he was “Gramps” to everyone that knew him. He loved street ministry and helping those in need. He was an avid student of God’s Word and End-Time Prophecy. His greatest passion was for others to come to know Christ. His favorite verse was Romans 10:13: "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
The family would like to thank Dr. Nayak for his many years of care. The family extends their deepest appreciation to Mallorie Kitchens, Selinda Hobbs, and Kyle Yarbrough along with the rest of the staff at Home Hospice for their incredible care and compassion.
