Clara was born on May 13, 1977 to Manuel Ramirez Salcido and Edubijes Contreras Salcido. She grew up in Andrews and attended Andrews High School. She graduated in 1996. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She enjoyed dancing, spending time with family, visiting people, traveling, playing loteria, bingo and on the slot machines. Most of all, she loved babysitting her munchkins and godchildren. She loved her nieces and nephews and referred to them as her munchkins. She loved them as her own and was like a mother to them all. She always turned up her music loud and would dance and sing along. She was a very social person. She didn’t like to stay home. She was very kindhearted. Clara loved to receive pictures from her munchkins even if she had just seen them. She was always there for everyone. She would volunteer to help out at functions or events when her munchkins needed her to. She would volunteer to stay with anyone who was sick or needed help whether in the hospital or their home. She would also always volunteer to go with anyone so they wouldn’t travel alone. If anyone just ever wanted to talk or needed to vent, she was all ears. Clara was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Manuela Salcido and Camelia Alvarez.
Clara is survived by her 6 brothers, Ramon Contreras and wife Yolanda of Carlsbad, New Mexico, Melquiades Salcido and wife Maria, Carlos Salcido and wife Norma, Rogelio Salcido, Francisco Salcido, wife Elizabeth, and Guadalupe Salcido, 1 sister, Margarita Salcido, and brother-in-law Jose Alvarez all of Andrews, Texas, 21 nieces and Nephews, 21 grand-nieces and nephews.
