Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at 2:00 PM CST Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at the Permian Residential Care Center, 1601 NE Mustang Drive, in Andrews with Leslie L. Boone, PRMC Hospice Chaplain, officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home in Andrews. Jan was born on August 14, 1942 in Littlefield, Texas to Aron Jackson Williams and Bessie Faye Kinder. She was raised in Portales and Floyd, New Mexico and graduated from Floyd High School. She had been raised on the family farm. She married H.L. Davis on October 4, 1961 in Portales, and he preceded her in death on January 11, 1993. They moved to Lovington in 1967, where she had been a loving wife, mother, and homemaker to her family. She had also worked as a Dietician at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Lovington. She moved to Andrews in 2016, where she enjoyed being a resident at Permian Residential Care Center. In her earlier years, she enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening, being outside, and was your farmer’s daughter. She loved to crochet, especially blankets, and going on cruise ships. She loved her daughters and the grandchildren were the light of her world. She was a past member of the Church of Christ. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brother, Kenneth Williams, and her pride and joy Chiweenie dog, Hemi Diane.
Jan is survived by her 2 daughters, Monica Perser and husband, Blake, of Tatum, New Mexico and Cassie Davis of Hobbs, New Mexico, 2 sisters, Carolyn Baker and husband, Rance, of Boerne and Peggy Craig of Portales, 3 grandchildren, Jessica Luckie and husband, Larry Don, Dakota Perser, and Heather Baros, and 6 great grandchildren, McKenna, Holden, Mason, Aldeigh, Sky, and Grace.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Permian Residential Care Center and PRMC Hospice for their excellent care and love for our mother. We ask that all memorials be sent to Permian Residential Care Center.
