Family and friends will gather to celebrate Martha’s life at a memorial service 10:00 AM Saturday, June 15, 2019 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews, Texas with Rev. Rick Doyle officiating.

Martha was born on April 27, 1930 in Andrews, Texas to William “Bill” Alexander and Vera McKinney Harris. She was the fourth child of 10, 9 girls and 1 boy. The Harris’s were early settlers in Andrews county farming and raising cattle. Martha’s father Bill Harris was named “FACE OF A COWBOY’ in the Lubbock Avalanche Journal. in 1975. Martha grew up knowing the “cowboy way” of life. Martha met Lee Page when he came to Andrews after his discharge from the U.S. Army. Her older sister, Viola was married to Lee’s older brother Ted. Lee and Martha moved to Oklahoma City for a short time where their son, Ralph A. She graduated in the spring of 1954 and went to work as a secretary for the Andrews Independent School District until 1967. Over the years a love for Andrews history led Martha to serve as Executive Vice-Chairman of the Andrews County Heritage Book Committee. From this Committee came the huge endeavor to write and publish the “Andrews County History 1876 – 1978” book. She was so proud of helping with this amazing publication. She loved visits with family with so many living close by and enjoyed playing bridge with friends. Martha’s had a love for cooking, there were always many treats available for grandkids that held special memories for them. Her gravy was so good that they nicknamed her “Gravy Nanny”!

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lee Roy on November 1, 1990, four sisters, Bernice Vandever, Margaret Stroud, Viola Page, and Rosie Teakell.
