Mary Beth was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. Mary Beth enjoyed meeting new people. She was a very social person. In addition to her role as a greeter at Saddleback Church in Lake Forest CA, she also loved to play the Ukulele, Bingo, painting and spending time with her family. Mary Beth witnessed to countless people throughout the years and always made time for her family and friends. She had a servant’s heart. Mary Beth retired from teaching in Texas after 35 years. After her husband’s death Mary Beth moved to California to be closer to her grandchildren, daughter and son in law. She loved the palm trees and the beautiful mountains. She mentioned on many occasions that she felt like she had moved to paradise. Mary Beth trusted that the Lord would lead her and mentioned often that “God is in Control”. Her favorite verse was Proverbs 3: 5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.”

Mary Beth is survived by her two daughters L’Jon Gryder, and Angie Rodebaugh and son in law Michael Rodebaugh, two grandsons Noah and Joel Rodebaugh and granddaughter Kate Rodebaugh, her brother Dan Taylor and sister in law Beverly Taylor, Sister in law Betty Taylor, Sister and Brother in Law Bobby and Johnnie Adkins and Sister and Brother in Law Darrell and Phyllis Adkins. Mary Beth had many cousins, nieces and nephews that were very special to her. A niece, Kathy Hirsch and her husband Reece Hirsch were extremely close to Mary Beth and the Rodebaugh’s prior to and after she moved to California. Mary Beth felt family should always come first. Mary Beth loved her family deeply.
