Ruthell Rogers, 81, of Andrews passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 in Odessa.

Ruth was born on August 24, 1936 in Dallas. She married Cleon Payton on November 5, 1954 in Sand, Texas, and he preceded her in death on July 14, 1978. She had lived in Friona, Vealmoor, Lamesa, and Seminole, where they had farmed. She had received her certified nursing assistant license (CNA), and she had worked for nursing homes in Denver City and Seminole and at Methodist Hospital in Lubbock. She married Edward Rogers, and he preceded her in death in 2004. She moved to Andrews in 2005. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a Baptist and was also preceded in death by her son, David Payton.
She is survived by her 3 sons, Carlos and Brenda Payton of Hobbs, New Mexico, Cleon and Yvonne Payton of Andrews, and Michael and Marilyn Payton of Lamesa, granddaughter, Atarah and Harrison Lee of Andrews, grandsons, William Payton of Andrews, Jason Payton of Lubbock, and Wesley Payton of San Diego, California, and 2 great grandchildren, Emery and Owen Lee of Andrews.
