My heroes have always been cowboys and Jerry Deaver was a perfect example of a heroic cowboy. He always had a smile and a hand shake to greet you with. He would have given you the shirt off his back if you needed it and you could tell that he genuinely cared about what you were saying by how well he listened when you spoke. With his legs crossed sitting at the kitchen table next to a cup of coffee, I was easily drawn to him and his inviting smile as we chatted for hours about good horses and broncs in our past. He and I spoke the same language, horses, so naturally he was one of my most favorite people on this earth. I loved how he loved his family with every ounce of his heart. Each one were diamonds in his eyes and thats why his eyes sparkled when he smiled. I've never seen such beautiful braided leather work than his and I still hold dear the two unique pieces of art work he blessed me with, a quirt and a headstall. I was honored to have received a nickname from him that I cherish to this day, "Scooter". If you received a nickname from Paw Deaver, it was monumental and it was special. My heart aches for his family, because Paw was such a delight to each one of them, but I am reminded that he is now with our Lord and Savior walking the streets of gold where there is no sickness, suffering, or sorrow. He is rejoicing now and his eyes are sparkling more than ever, so I say to you Paw Deaver, happy trails to you, until we meet again. Love Your Pal, Scooter

Condolence: I would love to express my deepest condolences the family. Mr Deaver was an amazing granddad, father, and man. He always showed me and my family the upmost respect and love. He always had an amazing smile and funny story to share with anyone who would listen. He is going to be missed greatly by all but one day we will all see him again to spend eternity with his great western charm and humor. God bless the family and friends.

Condolence From: Your Neighbor
Condolence: Please allow me to express my deepest condolences for your family's loss. I hope that you will find comfort in the real hope that the Bible gives of being reunited with your loved one again. In the Bible at John 5:28, 29 it reads, "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.". The Bible there promises that your loved one will come back to life again in the resurrection. (Acts 24:15) The Bible also promises that soon death will be no more. (Revelation 21:3, 4) I encourage you to visit JW.org for more information about this wonderful hope.
